A Kansas Turn

More in the Archives

I apologize for not having a video this morning, but the trip has taken a rather strange turn. I’m currently sitting in the middle of a dusty field alongside a highway four hours west of Kansas City in the middle of nowhere writing this on my phone. It’s 1 a.m. and the bus I was just on caught fire. I was coming from Columbia, Missouri while on route to Denver, Colorado when out of nowhere smoke started pouring out of the back. The video I will be posting later this afternoon when I get to Denver explains why exactly I was on the bus to begin with.

There is a guy currently wandering around in the grass behind me asking other passengers if they want to see his knife and police baton collection in his bag. And, according to our bus driver we should stay attentive because of the rattlesnakes in this part of the state.

Did you ever have one of those moments when you ask yourself, “What exactly led me to this particular situation in life?” Yeah, I’m totally having one of those right now.

Check back later today!

  1. I was on a broken down bus once outside of Denver. We were told not to leave the bus because of a ‘bear’ risk.

  2. Oh dude, I forgot to forewarn you yesterday before you got on the bus that Greyhound is notorious about spontaneous combustion. It happened to me once. Guess it’s too late now. Good luck.
