Groundhog’s Day

More in the on the road, Philosophy

I was asked by one of my volunteers in State College if I felt like I would be living through the same day every day for 80 days. I think he hit the nail on the head. It’s day 3 and I can already tell how this is going to work. It is exactly like the movie Groundhog’s Day, but just a bit longer. And MUCH more fun!

Think about this - I wake up, edit video from the day before, post it, get picked up by a new volunteer, introduce myself, explain why I’m doing the project, arrive at my location, generally meet family or friends, explain why I’m doing the project again, interview the volunteer, go around the town, come home, sleep, repeat. I do that practically every day for 80 days straight.

I wonder psychologically what implications that has.

In other news, I’m attempting to post videos daily. It’s really not too hard. I’m sure I’ll get spent of it by day 10, but for now it’s working. I simply feel that there is too much pressure riding on the weekly videos. At this point, I’d honestly rather do daily ones. So, keep up with the site every day for a new update!
