CURRENTLY: New York City, NY

Interviews and Goodbyes.

More in the Tokyo News, Pre-Trip, Preparations

The person interviewing me in this video is actually a staff writer at my paper. It seems my own paper is doing a story on the project. So, I thought it might be fun to videotape the interview. I’m really greatful for all the press that has been happening around the project. It’s a great way to get the word out!

Well, I hope everyone is ready for the start of the show on September 15th! From the way it looks now, the videos will be approximately as long as they are now and somewhat similar in format. However, there will be a little less music and little more conversation, not to mention on a regular weekly basis.

In other news, I’m out of NYC for a few days and in Pennsylvania for some much needed R&R before the trip.

Also, if you haven’t noticed, the site has gotten a little fancier. There is a new video player as well as some archived data throughout. We’re trying to figure out the best method for categorizing and archiving all the videos and posts. I’ve begun posting some of my writing about the project as well. I previously had a blog at a seperate URL with some random thoughts and ideas on AA2.0, but I decided that having two sites was simply too confusing and the two needed to be combined. Anyway, I’m psyched at the thought of writing throughout my trip as well. It just seemed silly to strictly limit the site to film.

Well, I still need your help to figure a way to get from El Paso, Texas to Atlanta, Georgia. Although I need quite a few other cities along my route other than that region, the South seems like it will be my biggest challenge. Like always, take a look at the map in the “About” section of the site, and if you live anywhere along my route in the continental US, I want you to email me and volunteer to drive, house, and feed me on a trip across the country. Even if you think I may have your town covered, email me. I’m trying to include every single person that wants to volunteer in some way or another.

Thanks everyone, and I’ll be seeing you soon!

  1. Love the video. You should have kept in the part where the matress bounces up on to Brian.
